This message board requires that you activate your membership via an activation email after filling out all the info. If you are an AOL user, you will not receive your activation email. AOL views these emails as SPAM and blocks them from being sent to you. IF you are an AOL user, most likely you will need to create an email account at Google or Hotmail, or a similar place. To circumvent this problem, if you are an AOL user and want to become a registered member, I can handle this problem for you. Just send me an email, letting me know what username you would like to use. I will create your membership, and a password that I will email to you. Once you receive the password from me, please change it!

With all this info in mind, follow these steps:

1. To become a Registered Member, simply click on the Register button at the top of the web page.

2. Next, you will have to create a USERNAME. This username will be used for logging into this forum.

3. Create a password. This is the password you will use to login to your account. All passwords must be a minimum of 6 characters long. We recommend passwords which contain both numbers and letters. NEVER, EVER EVER GIVE YOUR PASSWORD OUT TO ANYONE!! PERIOD!

4. Re-enter your password.

5. Enter a VALID email address. An activation email will be sent to this address. You must use the activation key in this email to enable your account. PLEASE NOTE: If you are an AOL user, you will not receive your activation email. AOL views these emails as SPAM and blocks it from being sent to you. IF you are an AOL user, most likely you will need to create an email account at Google or Hotmail, or a place similar. To circumvent this problem, if you are an AOL user, I can handle this problem for you. Just send me an email, letting me know what username you would like to use. I will create it, and a password that I will give to you. Once you receive the password from me, you can change it, and I highly recommend that you do!

6. Check whether you want to hide your email from others so they can't view it.

7. Birthday. This is kind of a sticky subject, as some of you won't want to reveal your true birthday. Proboard's policy is that you enter your birthday. What birthdate you enter is totally up to you.

8. Click the Show Age button, to show your age or not.

9. Security Check. Please enter the letters and numbers displayed in the box. All letters are capitals.

10. Read the TOS agreements. At the bottom, choose I Agree and click the Create Account button.

11. An email will be sent to you at the address you provided. If you don't see it, check your Junk or Spam folder.

12. Click on the link provided in the email and enter the Activation Key.

Apparently, for the time being, this is no longer the case. It seems AOL has changed their spamming settings.

There have been several AOL'ers in the last few months. that have been able to receive the activation code required to become a member.

(Thanks Richard!)
