Jack, Harry McCawley wrote an awful nice article regarding the event in today's paper. I'm hoping I feel well enough to join in the festivities. Regardless, it's an event that has never been surpassed in the history of CHS sports.
When I was going to CHS back in '68-'70, the major emphasis was on basketball. Especially back then, Columbus was basketball crazy (in a good sense here). I remember Principal Judson Erne coming on the intercom before the semi-finals (I think it was the '67/'68 season), announcing that if the Bull Dogs won state, everyone would get a day off school. As it turned out, they didn't, BUT the swim team and gymnastics team did and not a word was mentioned about a day off school for those achievements. I never understood the importance put on basketball so much highly elevated over all the other sport programs.

Anyway, congrats to you and everyone on the '59 team! It's very well deserved and a long time coming!

JUST TO LET EVERYONE KNOW A LOT OF THE GUYS AND WIVES MADE THE TRIP AND RECEIVEDA WARM WELCOME AND WERE HONORED AT FRIDAY NITES GAME WHICH WAS APPROPRIATELY WON
WE HAD A GREAT RECEPTION IN THE CAFETERIA BEFORE THE GAME THEN OFF TO THE GAME TO PLUG OUR EARS WHEN THE CANNON WENT OFF
I AM INCLUDING A PICTURE TAKEN OUT SIDE THE CAFETERIA BEFORE THE GAME I WILL PUT THE NAMES ON WHEN I GET A CHANCE THERE WERE CLOSE TO 30 OF US AND WE ALL APPEAR TO BE EATING REGULARLY
MRS ANDRESS WAS THERE AND COACH TED MARSTEN MRS ANDRESS AND OLDEST SON DAVE WERE AT THE CAFETERIA EVENT AND MORE OF THE ANDRESS FAMILY WAS AT THE GAME
ON SATURDAY THE GROUP WAS HOSTED AT MELINDA ENGELKING'S RESIDENCE AT ENGELWOOD FOR A GET TOGETHER TO TRADE STORIES AND MEMORIES

I DECIDED RATHER THAN PUT A LOT OF PICTURES OUT HERE I HAVE PUT A NUMBER OF PICTURES THAT WERE TAKEN DURING THE UNDEFEATED FOOTBALL TEAM OF 1959 REUNION
YOU CAN LOOK AT THEM REGARDLESS WHETHER YOU ARE A MEMBER OR NOT CURRENTLY THERE ARE ABOUT 140 PICTURES I AM STILL UPDATING THE NAMES OF THE PEOPLE AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE HOPE YOU ALL ENJOY IT YOU WILL NOTICE THAT WE ALL ARE A 'LITTLE' OLDER BUT WE ARE STILL A GREAT BUNCH OF PEOPLE
