He may have not been a super star at Columbus High School, but was a Super Star Coach after leaving Columbus. [/b] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Played for Hall of Famer Bill Stearman ... team was 27-1 in 1964 ... played freshman basketball at IU for hall of Famer Tom Bolyard ... 25 year-head coach with a record of 415-168 ... last 17 years of coaching were at Bloomington North where his teams won nine sectionals, two regionals, two semi-states, and a state championship in 1997 -- the last open class state tournament ... 2000 state runner-up in Class 4A, was undefeated until losing to Marion in the 4A championship game ... Hall of Fame Classic Championship in 2001 ... coached two Mr. Basketballs, Sean May and Jared Jeffries, seven Indiana All-Stars including three Duany brothers, one Trester Award winner Jared Jeffries ... retired from coaching and teaching in 2004 . Won the State Basketball Championship in 1997 as the coach. [/b] Bob
