Pasquales Next To Columbus High School 1958 to 1960
This was located on the corner of 1126 25th Street. Next door was the Dairy Queen then Becker' Root Beer. This was a popular hang out for students during the years shown. They specialized in pizza, oven baked sandwiches, Italian dishes and many other items.
Numerous students ate lunch at Pasquales and seemed to draw some students in the evenings and on weekends. I think a few years later it closed and Zaharakos opened a soda and sandwich business within same address. Pasquales had great oven roasted sandwiches. It was a car cruise stopping and meeting point for friends and classmates.

The Stromboli steak sandwich was my favorite. When Pasquale's went out of business,(about 1962 or 63), the place became a Charmichael's fish shop. I worked right next door, at Tom Pickett's, all through highschool. At the western end of the building was One-Hour Martenizing,(sp?). Sometime in the 1970s or 1980s the dry-cleaners had an explosion, which leveled the entire structure. I think the "Olympia North" (or whatever they called it), went in at the Pasquale end of the new building.

There was also a Pasquales on 25th street near Taylor Road and the Fairlawn addition. Anyone remember that? I use to eat at that place in the 1960's I'd eat lunch meat hoagies and I was just a tiny little thing and I could put one of those away! I'd love to see pictures of that place.
