Thanks David ! My home was on Ohio Street, with a hotdog/rootbeer stand at one end and The Pine Knot restaurant at the other. Wally's IGA was walking distance and a good place to redeem pop bottles for hard cash. I attended State Street School (Ms Fulp, Bottorf, Smith, Beam and Mr Freese and Ben Walker, Principal) My best friend was Jimmy Miller, who later became the Fire Chief of Columbus. I attended E Columbus Church of Christ for years (Rev Meyers and later HP Wynn). Sadly, the house I grew up in, built by my grandfather, is now in shambles. PS Are you related to the Sechrest brothers who raced boats ? One of them was married to a relative of mine.....Judy Eddy

Hi Larry. No relation that I'm aware of.
My best friend in the 9th grade lived on Ohio Street. Spent many days and nights at his house (and Donner Park that summer of 1967!).
