Just found your site...I grew up in Columbus. Trying to locate a classmate named John Spellman. He posted a message some time ago and we'd like to contact him regarding our 50th class reunion this fall. Any help would be greatly appreciated. At his posting I understand that he was in California. Martha Martha! Welcome!
Martha orginally left this post in the Message Board News Thread. I copied and pasted it here.

Does anyone from Garfield School days remember a Kay Roy? She moved to CA after WWII ended; her dad was in the U. S. Navy and why they lived here in Columbus I do not know. Anyhow she and I were good friends and the last time I saw her was when I went thru LA going to fly to Hawaii in 1967. She was married to a Bob Talley and they lived in Long Beach, CA and he was a police officer on the Long Beach Police Department.
If anyone has kept in touch or would happen to know where she might be now, please contact me thru these boards. I would love to get in touch with her again. Thanks.

Hi, a quick update to let you know I have found my missing friend Kay Roy. A friend suggested I contact the police department where her husband worked and between that helpful information and my genius son who got me the correct email address, I sent a query and some very nice lady in the Long Beach Police Department put me in contact with Kay. We have spoken on the phone and will continue to do so. It is possible to find lost friends, so don't give up hope. This friend and I had not communicated in over 35 years and its almost unbelievable to both of us that we have now found each other again.

I copied this post from the Taverns Thread, as it should be posted here... Hello, I am trying to locate my father. I was told by my mother that he performed in @ The Palms Cafe in the late 60's. His stage name was KING. Real name Dave or David? No last name. Might you know anything about that cafe back then? :'(SMC

Thanks David. I hope you got my email. I just wanted to give him a shout out. Nothing earth moving. I looked at a 1968 log and actually remember your face. I'm not sure if we had classes together. I would swear I never laid eyes on most of the other people. Go figure. Wish you all the best.

Just wondering if anyone knew the whereabouts of Becky Herndon, class of 1967. Was a friend of mine in high school. Last I heard she was in the Seymour area but that's been a long time ago. Thanks.

I received the following email this afternoon: Hi Dave
This is a bit of a shot in the dark.
My name is Ian Mason and I am the President of Diamond Investigations based in Cape Coral Florida.
We are doing a case for Fox 4 News in Ft Myers, they are trying to locate a Miss Barbara Leppert who was a pupil at Columbus High School, we have found a record of her being in the State’s only all girl Marching Band in 1943, is there any way that we are able to put a message out on your web site to see if any one has any details of her whereabouts, we know that she has been married twice so her name has changed, but we would like to know if anyone who attend school with her is still in touch.
I would appreciate any help that you are able to offer.
Regards
Ian Mason President Diamond Investigations & SecurityIf any of you out there knows the whereabouts of Barbara, could you please email me ( columbushistory@sbcglobal.net)? I will, then, put you in touch with Mr. Mason. This request is rather urgent, so if you know her, or you know of a friend who knows her, please contact me as soon as possible. Thanks!

Hi! I am a child born out of wedlock back in November of 1955....my birth mother is Minnie L. Richardson (married to Jack Richardson at that time), and she has always told me that my father was Roy Arbuckle...... recently, she gave me a very old business card that reads "Lou Thomas Sales Company", Earl E. Arbuckle, Dist. Mgr. I cannot find this company now, but wonder if anyone knows either a Roy Arbuckle, or an Earl E. Arbuckle.... I'm not sure exactly which one was my father, but I would love to find my paternal family.... If anyone can help, I can be reached at 317-496-8863. Thanks! Kay Williams
