Well, I also have many of my pictures deleted, many were personal photos, I am like Bob it took several years to make these posts, I don't know who is responsiable for this act but I will not be making any posts.

I also noticed that many of the LIFE pics are gone. I have no idea what happened. I do know that Google has removed the majority of those 1950 Columbus pictures from their website, which is a real shame.
I no longer have the complete collection of those Life photos. When my computer's hard drive went bad last year, I lost them. I thought I had backed them up, but apparently not.
If I can get a copy, I will try to put them back where they once were. But that might be difficult for me, as I am not sure which pic was in what post.
I can't explain why your photos were lost. By chance, does this have anything to do with the website where you originally uploaded your photos to (imageshack, photobucket, etc.)?

Doing a quick check, it appears this problem has more to do with the image Host rather than any removal from these boards, the Host in this case being imageshack. By right-clicking on the box where the image used to be, you can pull up the image source. I spot checked a few of RER's and they are all originally from imageshack.
For those of you who have used imageshack to upload your pictures, you might want to check and see if they are still there. If not, then the root cause of this problem is with imageshack, and not Proboards or anyone else here.
Personally, I quit using imageshack years ago. I experienced too many problems. I created an account, and have been using Photobucket for quite a while, but since Proboards started offering picture storage with the latest upgrade, I use that, also.

This Is One Of The Oldest Pictures Of The Columbus Court HouseCan you guess what year it was being constructed in this picture? Notice the horses and wagons being used. I have written years ago the date it was built in a post during the 1800s. You find it and post the date. Please notice the windows and clock had not been installed yet.Today As You Drive By It In 2014 It Looks Almost The Same
