Before State Street Elementary was built, this is where East Columbus kids learned the "3 R's." This school was located on the northwest corner of Burnsville Pike (State Street) and Gladstone Avenue. School No. 7 was built in 1884. Most of the school was destroyed by fire in 1905, but eventually succumbed to another East Columbus school, State Street Elementary, in 1928.
