Looking to the north from the power station, it appears that the line ran across the town square. There also appears to be enough evidence showing like poles and humps in the road to tell where the line ran from Azalia back to the Clifty bridge location.

Amazing George traced the Clifty Creek bridge support frames to Azalia's power house. Great Job!! Interesting that you found this and the direction and history of the former Interurban Line. Also, the pictures are excellent.

Trolley Cars Chestnut Street Year 1909 or Earlier English Lutheran Church 11th and Chestnut StreetThis picture is transferred in part to show the Columbus Trolley or Interurban Line during the early 1900s. I am not sure if this is a Trolley or Interurban Line. Actually, in another quick view it looks more like a trolley; anyone know? After looking at George's post it is a Crump Electric Trolley car. Further, I guessed at the wrong address, so I changed it to George's comment. Thanks George!img132.imageshack.us/img132/7388/davidsechrestothsitedo5.jpg[/img]Source: David Sechrest's Historical Columbus Indiana web site partial view

Bob.... I believe this is what we are seeing at the Church, this church was at 11th and Chestnut St., and is still there today.
