I am looking for any information on the William Clifford Adams family in Columbus. I am specifically looking for the address of two houses that were built by him. Both of them are still standing. The first was built in 1846 on State Road 7. It became occupied by a renter in 1938 by a Mr. Applegate. Later in 1953 it was bought by a Mr. & Mrs. Floyd Huston. The second house was built in Elizabethtown in 1870. That is all I know about that one. The first one is in Rockcreek Township. Both are very important in the history of my husband's family and we would like to see them but we can't find them. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi! I descend from William Clifford Adams and can tell you that the house on Rd 7 is not there any more. Several years ago a fuel truck was in a wreck in front of the house cuaght fire and there was so much damage done that the owner tore the old house down and now they have a new house built there. The other house that William Clifford built is on Pennsylvania Street in Elizabethtown and is in occupation by the Nichols family that have an Antique shop. This house was William Clifford Adams "town house" and the one on Rd 7 was his "Country Home". I have worked on this Adams family tree for years. William Clifford Adams is my great-great-great grandfather. My e-mail is cjgennut@yahoo.com.

I’ve contacted a fellow that knows some about the Elizabethtown area.
