Actually, I suppose that I should wait until KPatterson changes over the Heflen Camp photos, but in the interest of time and current demands on me, will proceed now.
Welcome KPatterson, and the Heflen Camp pictures are WONDERFUL. And so much a part of my daughters and my memories via the oral accounts that my mom provided us about her 'dancing days' in the 30s at Heflen Camp.
Additionally, I do seem to think that the picture of 'Green Tree Inn' coincides with my recollection of a Saddle Club breakfast outing to 'somewhere out aways from town.' That building very closely resembles what my memory says about our destination that day, probably in the early 40s.
Sharon, Margie, James Kaye--------------do any of you remember that outing? Know that my mom drove the pony buggy out there, early spring, I think, as I remember Mom heating up bricks to wrap in newspapers to keep our feet warm for the trip.
Thanks KPatterson. Welcome to the boards. Your input so much enjoyed and appreciated.

MOVED *** Post by KPATTERSON on July 1, 2007 in the Columbus Indiana Hash Thread
NANCS & George I just discovered your post from about 1 year ago about Hefen's Camp. Carl Heflen was my uncle, my folks spent many summers there. Carl had 3 brothers, Fred (my grandfather) was the oldest, then Roscoe, then Carl, and the youngest, Ralph. Their father, William, started the camp. I have lots of pictures if anybody is interested. I lived in Columbus in 1965, worked at Arvin. Ken

A family picture at Heflin Camp in 1971. We had a cabin at the camp for 10 years, 1969 to 1979.

Hi Katie, and I think that some 'Heflin Camp' posts may still be in the 'Columbus Indiana Hash' thread. Check that out, too. Nanc
