I remember a strange shaped restaurant down around where the cummins office building/volunteers in medicine area is,it was shaped like a "ufo". I also remember my parents talking about getting a moon burger there, does anyone remember the name of this place or have any pics?

I think I remember the place. In my recollection it might have had the word satellite in it's name? The burgers were huge- diameter wise but kind of thin as I recall. In my mind it was somewhere behind the old Bobolink restaurant.

Could this have been the site of the former Bobolink Drive-in?

At that time I believe that would have been the location of Bob-O-link Liquors. The rest of that area would have been the Columbus Motel. I still can't remember the location of the Moon Burger place, maybe it will come to me.

That's the place I remember! It was the Satellite Burger-Teria, and it was the hamburger that was called the Moonburger! I thought I remembered it not at the Bob-O-Link site, but kind of behind it.

There is still a Bob-o-Link liquors in Edinburgh along 31. I assume they were originally the same owners as the Bob-o-Link restaurant. Why did the Bob-o-Link restaurant close? So many people still fondly remember it.

George is right, satellite burgers was pretty much the Bob o link site. Lets not forget THE TIN STAR roastbeef restaurant that was where Ziggies came to be on 25th. They gave away just that tin stars for the kids. What about Jawns Hambergers on State Street where donuts are now sold.. Oh and beings we said donuts, they should rember Park and Eat on 31 that was a favorite of many of the folks from Lowel Addition for meals and great pies
