I think that the server I use for the website and pictures for the message board is either down or undergoing maintenance. I'll check back after a while and see if the pictures have shown up. I noticed things were loading really slow, both from the FTP and as I posted here...

I have had this postcard for some time now and have been unable to determine it's location, the sign on the porch appears to be Columbus, Ind. It appears to be a depot or maybe a hotel?.

Notice the man standing: he appears to be in some type of uniform and holding a striped pole. It sure looks like Columbus, Ind on the sign but it quickly pixilates away when I try to enlarge it. I've played with the photo, too, and I do think it says Columbus Ind.
Here's another thought from a couple observations of the photo: The ladies all appear to be reading papers/mail. Could the man be holding a pole that he used to snatch a mail bag from the passing train? ...and the ladies are now enjoying letters that recently arrived?

Rhonda, Ricky,
A great observation of the card, I do recall mail bags being picked up from trains and also the interurban with pole devices by the station master..........now to find the location!!!!!!!!.

As for the house it looks like the one out on HWY 11 across from the ( new ) fair grounds.
