I just noticed the picture that Bob posted of what was once a Theater building in Hope with a reply from George.
Here's a Hope Indiana Thread.

Hope Indiana Of Bartholomew County Around 1905Main Street Looking At Masonic Temple Building Comment: It appears an early 1905 Ford Runabout car is parked in front of the the Masonic Temple. A point of interest is that Reeves sold Ford early vehicle in the early days as stated in the Reeves Pulley threads within this site. Here is the postcard showing the scene. Henry Ford is in the picture driving the 1905 Runabout.

Concerning the steropscopic photos of Hope at the NYPL website: Anyone know where "Dr. Shapp's Residence" on the image that appears after the one pictured in the post? It looks to me like it is possibly the brick house that stands on the NE corner of Harrison St. and whatever street is one block south of the square. My grandmother lived there with her husband, Maurice Pile and the home, along with the old dairy and the house that sat where the storage place is now, were all owned by his family, the Piles and Feasters. I've got photos of the front and one of the south side. Today there is only one set of windows on the south side. Anybody got any clues?
