I have been very interested in the two story brick home at the corner of 8th and Chestnut behind the old St. Bartholomew Church. I am looking for old pictures and history of this beautiful home. I have been told that it used to be a nunery and then a rectory. Also, the Bartholomew County Historical Society has pictures from the 50s or so in the Zaharako family history of this home which at some point was their family home. I am also interested in pictures or history of any structures that used to exist on St. Bartholomew's parking lots such as next to this home on 8th and Chestnut. There is a magnificent Magnolia tree on the corner there, and I am curious how old that tree is too-- the pictures I've seen showed another identical tree that used to exist there... I would have liked to post this question in the Historical Homes section, but cannot create a new thread there for some reason. Since this home on Chestnut used to belong to the church, I thought this was second best. Thank you, and looking forward to any answers or clues! Picture of the Chestnut home

I just happened to snap a photo of that house and tree a few weeks ago when I was out with my camera! Thought I'd share it with you here. The house just recently sold to a new owner last fall, I believe.
