I remember the funeral homes always used to run the ambulance service's. Seems like a conflict of interest! This ad appeared November 22, 1970.

What with all the 2006-2007 discussion about 'plans' for The Commons, found these photographs to be interesting. From The Columbus Herald, the weekly edition of The Evening Republican, dated November 5, 1971. Breaking ground and working on the civic mall and shopping center. Note: Zaharako's. And I personally love the aerial views of Columbus, and this one is of this downtown 'super block.' Since I can't be at this evening's 'celebration meeting,' at least I can post something constructive on the boards!!!!! I am there in spirit, okay??? Nanc
