Last evening, August 7th, I was given the opportunity to be a part of the CHS class of 1964 40th Reunion. I was the Dee-Jay for this special event at the Harrison Lakes Country Club. Most of the songs I elected to play last evening spanned the years from late 1961 through June of 1964. It was a great time. Approximately 70-75 CHS alumni attended, and Fred Armstrong gave a brief speech. I met some great people, and also got to meet some people I've emailed with for the last couple of years regarding the Historic Columbus Indiana website. Everyone made me feel very welcome, and I feel it an honor to have been a part of that special evening. Plans are in the works for a 45th reunion (first weekend in August as it stands now). If anyone is a 1964 graduate from CHS, or knows of the whereabouts of anyone who did not attend, please leave the pertinent info here. Thanks to Michael Schwartzkopf, Lindsey and Larry, Gregg Galbraith, and many others who made me feel like a '64 alumni! Dave Sechrest

Dave, You did a great job at the reunion, and your choice of tunes was terrific! I was pleasantly surprised to learn that you had been hired as our DJ. It was also nice to finally meet you and to be able to put a face with a name.Your love for and pride in Columbus make you a fine ambassador for the city we all still like to call "home." Thanks for all your hard work.

Dave, I don't know if you will remember me, we did some emailing for awhile, before your illness. We were discussing both of us knowing John Johns, now Jackson. Remember? When you speak of the next reunion for CHS., I would have been a member of that class, our family moved to Riverside, Ca., in 1956, thus I was a member of the class of 64 at Norte Vista. I was wondering if a I'm able to make the trip there do you allow an outsider in? I've been wondering about this. Mary Downing Riverside, Ca.

Hello ebbie, and yes, I do remember our earlier discussions.
I'm really not the person to ask regarding attending the 1964 class reunion. I do know that there will be another held in 2009.
Galbo--can you help to answer ebbie's question? Or ebbie, you might want to send an email to Gregg. He is a registered member of this message board, and you can locate his email address by clicking on the "Total Members" number (in yellow), which is in the Info Center close to the bottom of the message board welcome page.
Hope that's not too confusing!
