I’m looking for descendants of Elizabeth (Thompson) and Garrett Harris who are interested to know that Elizabeth is buried in the Carvin family cemetery in German Township. The stone reads “ELIZABETH wife of Garret Harris who died April 15 1837 In the 37 year of her age”. I believe that Garrett died April 1864 and is buried at Old Union Church, Taylorsville. I also believe that they had four children: (1) Patsy (no info). (2) Robert, b. 17 Apr 1824, married Rebecca Bozell, d. 12 July 1895. (3) Amanda, b.? married 23 Sept 1849, d. 14 Aug 1897. Mary Pickens, b. 24 Mar 1831, married Henry Pickens, died 6 May 1855. (4) Drusilla M. Bozzell, b. 7 Dec 1832, married Thomas Bozzell 13 Feb 1829, d. 23 Feb 1914. Robert, Mary and Drusilla are also buried at Old Union Church. Regards, John

Would love to correspond with you on Elizabeth and Garrett as I'm a descendant through his son Charles Edward (reputedly from second wife Julia Halfacre). A marker for Elizabeth is quite a find as I always thought she died back east before the Harris family migrated here. Definitely want to share info with you!!
