He did it in Texas!!!!!!!!!!!!! Win # 4 in the 2011 Chase!Way to go, Tony!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!All day I have thought about this: As a retired elementary school teacher, I truly related to a 'Tony Stewart story' that message board poster/administrator, Richard, shared, coming in today's emails---------telling about high school student, Tony Stewart, refusing to do his homework, questioning why was that (homework) important, replying to his teacher that 'I am going to be a race car driver.' And I reflected back to how I always ended the school year, sharing with my students, 'If you never have a dream, you never have a dream come true.' (That, pretty much, comes from 'Happy Talk'/South Pacific) I just hope and pray that my 'parting words' made a difference to some one of my students, as surely Tony Stewart has had a 'dream, a dream that has come true' for him. And really makes a point to be heeded! DREAM, AND DREAM BIG------------HERE HE/Tony GOES!!!!!!!!! Just 'gotta add' a post script, having just watched the Victory Lane interview with Tony, 'ya' just gotta notice that the clean shaven look' most generally 'predicts' a winning performance. Nanc

Go Tony, Go Tony, Go TonyInstallment # 2-----------now I love to gamble, but good golly Ms. Molly, this race is something else. No need to go have my nails done--------I've about bitten them off to the quick!!!!!!! GO TONY, GO TONY, GO TONY YES-------------OUR TONY IS THE CHAMPION!
Commercial time--------Was this not the best race ever??? I want to be in Columbus to celebrate-----hey, you guys, celebrate for me...........my phone has been ringing off the wall as my family and friends celebrate with us here!!!!!!! AND yes, we bought tickets at Stateline, NV for Tony to win the Chase...........and we'll celebrate some more when we go over 'to collect.' And a race like this is why we are NASCAR fans, AND fans of Tony. Nanc

Nanc, Richard and all: My wife and I watched that race and what a fantastic win for Tony Steward. He and Carl Edwards had us on edges the whole time till the end. That had to be the best race I have seen in many years. Congratulations to Tony and his crew they are the best. AP Quote: "Stewart thrust himself early into title contention, then never let up as he drove all over the competition and chased down Carl Edwards. He seized his third championship Sunday night with a powerful and relentless drive that will go down with the greatest in NASCAR history." End Quote"Winning the Sprint Cup Title 2011" in Florida in spotted rain and his crew on top of the game. Columbus Indiana has to proud for the greatest driver in NASCAR. Oh, my gosh! What a race it was! I almost couldn't watch those last 40 laps! It was great to see Tony thank "the man upstairs" first, as rain was falling down upon everyone in the winner's circle. I don't think I could have taken another rain delay! Glad they got it done. What a winner!

According to an update in The Republic, Tony is going to be here and take part in the Festival of Lights parade on Saturday. Thank goodness for air travel! He has to be in Las Vegas Friday night for the awards banquet there!

Well, a 'cliff hanger' CA race, we opted to skip!!!!!!!! Not wanting to battle that liquid sunshine.......... My fingers are worn to the bone from checking weather predictions, and now look........over halfway w/Tony in the lead. We are South of Fontana, and the rain started here just a bit ago, and hardly enough drops per sq. in. to shut down a construction job!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My guess would be that the rain is going to be more intense in Fontana, much closer to the mountains, and once it gets 'going,' will be 'in for the duration.' IT'S OFFICIAL, OUR TONY WON AT FONTANA!!!!!!!!!!!And the grass seed I put out a couple of days ago, may grow! Nanc

Aha---------and reason today to get my 'account mess' on the message boards back in order so I could post.................. 'Our boy, Tony'------------won today at Dover! Been a tad of a dry spell, but summer has all but arrived, and it is GO TONY.Know one Southern California family that is having a good day---------the four year old daughter of Everett's son watches the race every weekend with her dad------------and when Tony doesn't win she cries and cries, and then cries some more. Might add that the first son in that family was born on April 6, and while still in the hospital, the 'papa' rocked his baby boy while they watched their FIRST NASCAR race together............. I am 'helping' raise them right as Tony fans!!!!!!!!!!!!! Way to go Tony and all the crew------------Onward to the next race. Nanc ;-)

To all,
This is NOT the kind of 'Tony News' I like to report...........Just a few minutes ago on CNN---------word that Tony was involved in a crash-------dirt track in Iowa, that took him to the hospital with a broken leg, I think they said requiring surgery............
Sad news, for sure.
Here's to keeping Tony Stewart in our thoughts and prayers for a VERY speedy recovery.

Well, it takes a lot to bring a tear to the eyes of this 'old lady!'
And yes, he/Tony Stewart did just that during his first public appearance and interview since his August 5, 2013, ACCIDENT, that he just completed.............on Sept. 3, 2013
He said a lot of things that really hit home with me-----------It was an accident. No one ever intends to be involved in an accident----------pure and simple. It happens and you pick up the pieces and deal with it.........
Tony spoke to living his life to the fullest, or words to that effect. I can so remember when Walt and Ruth Baxter (members of Columbus Saddle Club and sponsors of Jr. Trail Blazers) lost their son to leukemia (sp.), as I remember, at a very young age. I remember Walt's sister coming up to him at the funeral home and telling him that he ought to quit riding Roman (two horses, one foot on each) and Walt quipping--------Well, Sis, I'm gonna keep doing it, and if there is a accident, you will know I died a happy man.
One other thought I share, coming from my eldest daughter-----------telling me that somehow the NASCAR races just weren't quite as much fun as when Tony was out there driving. And I have to agree............with that said----------
HERE'S TO A SPEEDY RECOVERY FOR TONY...........We all are keeping you, your team, and SHR as a whole in our thoughts and prayers...........
Great interview.
Nanc ;-)
